MEETING, HRCHGS COMMITTEE, Wednesday 18^th June 2008

Present – D. Belcher, C. Wright, B. Quantrill, P. Stokes. Apologies – P. Holmes

Decisions:

• Website – PS to pursue how the Society website could be accessed
  through the Main Rugby Club website                                                                PS
• Newsletter – there will now be a bumper edition mid July                                 PS
• Website - DB to talk with GS as to how to delete the old HRCHGS website     DB            
• Geoff’s Pot – DB to look at other ways of raising interest/opposition eg the
• next outing at Rusper                                                                                          DB
• Annual Dinner – 26^th September 2008 – BQ to contact the caterers
• regarding prices and availability                                                                          BQ
• Harvey Jones – PS to contact him regarding rejoining the Society                   PS
• Rusper – The two rugby coaches to be contacted regarding playing               PS

Captains Day

• The outing was a great success and took place within agreed budgets             ALL

Treasurers Report

• CW reported no real change from last month with the Society being in a healthy position                                                                                                                                  CW
• The Society continues to encourage the use of internet banking and this will be mentioned in the next outing invitation. Details are:

• An email was sent out to members following a Tour drop-out but the vacancy has yet to be filled.
• The Committee discussed way of meetingthe potential financial shortfall including partial subsidy from funds                                                                                           DB/CW
• The coach company had asked for an extra contribution to their fuel costs and this had been agreed                                                                                                    DB/CW

• The bike ride was again a great success and the tremendous support given to the riders by Rob Newton, Keith, Alan, Colette and Gill Wright’s ‘Caff’ was acknowledged along with the contribution from Graham Sinclair who organised the team

Any Other Business

• AGM 5^th September – there was a brief discussion on how the AGM might be paperless in the same way as the Rugby AGM had been and this was agreed to be a good idea.
• DB/CW/PS agreed to stand again.
• There will be the need for a new Captain and a Fixtures Secretary
