HRCHGS Committee Meeting, Wednesday 16th April 2008

Decisions
- Bike Ride – GS is co-ordinating numbers. BQ awaiting confirmation of T shirt order. Sandra Curtis has volunteered to design a logo. BQ/GS
- Committee agreed to invite the two new rugby coaches to the Sweetwoods outing on 30th May as guests of the Society. This is part of promoting the Society. CW
- In future, Committee meeting minutes will be posted on our website PS
- Details of Captain’s Day to be discussed at next meeting BQ/ALL
- Rookwood will be the venue for the September outing PH
- Publicity to be placed in the Clubhouse to attract new members. Also, links with the Rugby Club website to be discussed with BJ and the Hon. Secretary PS
- The Newsletter to be compiled by 11th May and issued by 16th May. To include a request for final Tour monies. PS
- It was agreed the Society’s AGM will be held on Friday 5th September and the Annual Dinner on Friday 26th September. CW to put dates in the Rugby Club diary. CW/ALL
Treasurer’s Report
- Tour monies are coming in well. Little else to report as Chartham Park was cancelled. DB and PH are now signatories of The Society’s bank account. GS is still exploring the possibility of using internet banking for Members payments. CW/GS
Geoff’s Pot
- Provisional date of 13th June has been agreed. !0 players on each side. CW
2008 Tour
- Numbers are currently fluctuating between 20 and 22. DB
Any Other Business
- Appropriate summer social events were discussed, including Goodwood and summer concerts but more consideration needs to be given to this to establish if there is any real interest. ALL
- PH has a limited number of priviledge cards for Cranleigh. The offer needs to be taken up before 21st August (£17 Monday – Friday; £22 Weekends). Cards will be given out on a first come first served basis. PH
Next Meeting
- Tuesday 13th May at DB’s.
